The BFA in Game Design is a four-year interdisciplinary degree that teaches the fundamentals of game design, game development, and critical scholarship using a strong study in the liberal arts as a foundation. Students learn about the theory and practice of making games on and off the computer.
Located in the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts at NYU’s new Brooklyn campus, the IMA program offers a rigorous and exploratory course of study that teaches students fluency in many forms of digital interactivity, alongside an education in both the arts and liberal arts.
The BFA program in Studio Art is designed for students to study forms and ideas together. The interdisciplinary curriculum includes painting, drawing, sculpture and installation, photography, video art, digital art, performance, metals, ceramics, design, and praxis courses.
The Game Design BFA is a 4-year Bachelors of Fine Arts program. We are located inside NYU’s famous Tisch School of the Arts, and like other Tisch programs in film, dance, and theater, we look at games as a creative form of art.
The BFA in Game Design is a well-rounded, interdisciplinary degree that includes coursework in game studies, game design and game development, as well as the option to specialize in game programming, visual or audio design, and the business of games.
