Attila Brungs FTSE FRSN (born 1972) is the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He was appointed to the role in January 2022. Prior to this role, he was the Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS); a role that he held from July 2014 to October 2022.
Professor Attila Brungs is the Vice-Chancellor and President of UNSW Sydney. Professor Brungs commenced his appointment on 31 January 2022, joining UNSW from his position as Vice-Chancellor and President of University of Technology Sydney (UTS) (2014 – 2021).

Emeritus Professor Attila Brungs is Vice-Chancellor Emeritus, UTS. Professor Brungs is a fellow of the Academy of Technology and Engineering, a Rhodes Scholar, with a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry from Oxford University, and recipient of the University Medal in Industrial Chemistry from the University of New South Wales.

I have had the pleasure of working with Attila in his capacity as Vice-Chancellor and President at UTS during my time at UNSW and have admired his achievements.
