Joseph Crowley (/ ˈ k r aʊ l i /; born March 16, 1962) is an American politician. He was the U.S. Representative for New York's 14th congressional district from 2013 to 2019. He was Chair of the House Democratic Caucus from 2017 to 2019. He also was Chair of the Queens County Democratic Party from 2006 to 2019.
The incumbent was Democrat Joe Crowley, a leader of the New Democrat Coalition. Crowley had represented the district since 2013, after representing the 7th district from 1999 to 2013. He was re-elected for a tenth term, with 83% of the votes, in 2016.
