Pierre-Gilles Veber (1896–1968) was a French journalist and screenwriter. He was the son of the playwright Pierre Veber and the novelist Catherine Agadjanian, who wrote under the pseudonym Georgette Paul.
Pierre Veber is the father of journalist and author Pierre-Gilles Veber, and of screenwriter Serge Veber. He is also the grandfather of screenwriter and film director Francis Veber, and the great-grandfather of author Sophie Audouin-Mamikonian. Little is known about his youth.
Veber was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Hauts-de-Seine, the son of a writer mother and Pierre-Gilles Veber, a screenwriter. Veber's father was Jewish and his mother was Armenian-Russian (Veber was baptized at birth). His grand-uncle was writer Tristan Bernard.
