Anne-Marie of Greece, 1946– Anne-Marie Dagmar Ingrid, born 1946, is the youngest daughter of Frederik IX of Denmark and Princess Ingrid of Sweden, later Queen Ingrid of Denmark. Anne-Marie married King Constantine II of Greece (1940–2023) in 1964, after which she became Queen Anne-Marie of Greece.
Constantine II was the reigning Greek monarch, while Princess Anne-Marie was the youngest daughter of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid of Denmark. It was the second, and to date, the last wedding of a reigning Greek monarch, and the first to be held in Greece.
Queen Anne-Marie was christened on 10 October 1946 in Holmens Kirke (the Naval Church) and confirmed on 24 March 1961 in Fredensborg Palace Chapel. The wife of the late Constantine II, the last king of Greece, Anne-Marie has led a remarkable life with deep ties to the most powerful monarchies of Europe.
She agreed and in their Danish passports, Constantine and Anne-Marie's names were established as "HM King Constantine II" and "HM Queen Anne-Marie". Constantine, in turn, created the Anna-Maria Foundation to allocate the funds in question back to the Greek people for use in "extraordinary natural disasters" and charitable causes.
