Westminster Hall and Burying Ground is a graveyard and former church located at 519 West Fayette Street (at North Greene Street) in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is currently part of the grounds of the University of Maryland's School of Law.
Westminster Hall is a large medieval great hall which is part of the Palace of Westminster in London, England. It was erected in 1097 for William II ("William Rufus"), at which point it was the largest hall in Europe. [1]
Westminster Burial Ground, originally Westminster Presbyterian cemetery, was establisted in 1786. In 1852, the church was constructed on brick piers above the graves. The Burying Ground is the gravesite of Edgar Allan Poe and others. Today, the venue is used for weddings and private events!
