You must meet all requirements below: Be admitted to Hunter College (lower division) as an undergraduate freshman or transfer student. You must be a matriculated student in the spring semester before entering the program the following fall.
You must take the NLN RN Pre-Admission exam (PAX-RN), either at the Hunter College Testing Center or elsewhere. The deadline to take the exam is February 28 th. The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing's curricula meets New York State requirements for professional licensure and certification as determined by The State Education Department, Division of Professional Education, Professional Education Program Review, 89 Washington Avenue, 2nd Floor, West Wing, Albany, NY 12234.
Nursing (professional nursing education) Students are considered for admission to the school of nursing for the fall semester only, after completing non-nursing pre-requisite courses and an application. Only students admitted to the School of Nursing are permitted to declare nursing as their major.
Major in Nursing BS at Hunter College. Credits required to complete this program: 51. A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required for courses in this Major. The courses listed within the black boxes are the requirements to complete the program you have selected.
