Trama. Derry, Maine. In una giornata piovosa del 1988, Bill Denbrough, un ragazzo balbuziente, regala a Georgie, il suo fratellino più piccolo, una barchetta di carta. Il bambino esce di casa per far navigare la barchetta lungo le strade del quartiere, ma questa cade in uno scarico fognario.
