Roger Livesey (Barry, 25 giugno 1906 – Watford, 4 febbraio 1976) è stato un attore britannico. È ricordato soprattutto per essere stato protagonista negli anni quaranta di tre film di Michael Powell ed Emeric Pressburger : Duello a Berlino (1943), So dove vado (1945) e Scala al paradiso (1946).
Roger Livesey (25 June 1906 – 4 February 1976) was a British stage and film actor. He is most often remembered for the three Powell & Pressburger films in which he starred: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, I Know Where I'm Going! and A Matter of Life and Death.
Leben und Karriere. Roger Livesey entstammte einer Schauspielerfamilie und stand schon mit elf Jahren auf der Bühne des St James’s Theatre in London. Kleinere Filmrollen übernahm er bereits während der Stummfilmzeit Anfang der 20er Jahre, doch war er zunächst ganz überwiegend im Theater aktiv.
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp is a 1943 British romantic-war film written, produced and directed by the British film-making team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger. It stars Roger Livesey, Deborah Kerr and Anton Walbrook. The title derives from the satirical Colonel Blimp comic strip by David Low, but the story is original.
