Darkstar are a British electronic music duo. Since 2007, they have released music on Hyperdub, Warp and 2010 Records. History. Early singles. James Young & Aiden Whalley began making music together in London in 2007, releasing their first compositions "Dead 2 Me" & "Break" under the name Darkstar on their own label - 2010 Records.

3 mag 2020 · Darkstar, the electronic music duo made up of James Young and Aiden Whalley, have announced their return with the first new album in five years. Civic Jams, due for release on June 19 through Warp Records, comes alongside the the album lead single ‘Jam’.
Speaking to the duo – James Young and Aiden Whalley – from their respective homes, it’s immediately clear that Darkstar, although perhaps quiet, never quite subsumed into silence. “We’ve been going,” laughs Aiden.
