Angharad Mary Rees, The Hon. Mrs David McAlpine, CBE (16 July 1944 – 21 July 2012) was a British actress, best known for her British television roles during the 1970s and in particular her leading role as Demelza in the 1970s BBC TV costume drama Poldark.

Angharad Rees. Actress. 15 July 1949 to 20 July 2012. A Welsh actress who found fame in the 1970s, Rees was most familiar as Demelza in the popular series Poldark (1975-77). Other roles came in Doctor in Charge (1972-73), Close To Home (1990) and Trainer (1992) with films such as Hands of the Ripper (1971) and Under Milk Wood (1972).
