  1. 23 nov 2009 · I've just found out that in British English 'all right? / alright?' is often used as a form of greeting. So, is it the same as 'Hello!' or more like 'How are you?'? How do you respond to it? Do you say 'Alright!' (with an affirmative intonation) or something like 'I'm good, thanks, and you'? Thanks in advance!
