Currie and Harvie invited keyboard player Andy Alston to join the band and fired both guitarist Bryan Tolland and drummer Paul Tyagi. Tolland was replaced in the studio by Mick Slaven [13] and Tyagi by the Commotions ' Stephen Irvine.

Bryan Tolland. Brian was an original member of Del Amitri, and performed on the self-titled debut, as well on the first tour of America, but left before Waking Hours was recorded. He was replaced by Michael Slaven.
Now with Iain Harvie and Bryan Tolland at its service del Amitri made two songs and engraved them onto 1000 seven inch vinyl discs.
