Carbon/Silicon is a rock music duo consisting of Mick Jones (formerly of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite) and Tony James (formerly of Generation X and Sigue Sigue Sputnik). The band formed around 2002.

Carbon/Silicon is a punk rock duo consisting of Mick Jones, formerly of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite, and Tony James, formerly of Generation X and Sigue Sigue Sputnik. The band formed around 2002.
Since carbon is more electronegative than hydrogen the C-H bond is polarized towards carbon resulting in a more protic hydrogen (Figure 7.9.2 7.9. 2 a). In contrast, the lower electronegativity of silicon results in a more hydridic hydrogen (Figure 7.9.2 7.9. 2 b). This difference is reflected in the reaction chemistry of SiH 4 versus CH 4.
