Souled American is an American alternative country band from Chicago that was active mostly in the late-1980s and early-1990s. The band was founded in Normal, Illinois and consists of vocalists Chris Grigoroff (also guitar) and Joe Adducci (also bass) who both previously played in a ska/reggae band called The Uptown Rulers. 14 giu 2023 · Though there is nothing overtly patriotic about the six late ’80s/early ’90s albums of Chicago’s Souled American, the band’s remaining members—Joe Adducci and Chris Grigoroff—chose 2023’s Flag Day to re-release their back catalog via Bandcamp.
Originally a quartet, drummer Jamey Barnard left in 1992, followed by guitarist Scott Tuma three years later. The founding singer/songwriters Joe Adducci and Chris Grigoroff remain.
