Desensitized is the second album by the industrial metal band, Pitch Shifter, released on Earache Records in 1993. A music video was made for the track "Triad" that featured the band playing in a white room.

14 dic 1993 · Honestly this is a fair leap from what they would go on to do in the late 90s. Rather than drum'n'bass-infused metal, you have sludgy riffage locked into tight grooves, and the splattered electronic parts too. A dark sound was needed, and a dark sound is suitably achieved from the beginning with the psychedelic-sounding Godflesh-inspired Diable.
28 apr 2019 · With a new lineup, label, and vocalist the band aimed to distance themselves from accusations of being a mere Godflesh clone and mature into their own independent style. Thankfully, "Desensitized" is a resounding success in that regard.
