Robert Gibbs is a hip young pastor who temporarily takes over the helm of a Fundamentalist Baptist church as his pastor Reverend Matthews is recovering from a stroke. While trying to impress Rev. Matthews, Gibbs needs the approval of his congregation, the Deacon council and most importantly, Rev. Matthew's daughter Divine.
