James Preston Delgado (born January 11, 1958) is a maritime archaeologist, historian, maritime preservation expert, author, television host, and explorer. Delgado is a maritime archaeologist who has spent over four decades in underwater exploration.

James P. Delgado. Mr. Delgado is director of the Vancouver Maritime Museum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and cohost of National Geographic International television's The Sea Hunters. He receives the 2003 Naval History Author of the Year award at the 130th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Naval Institute on 31 March 2004.
