Lady Possessed is a 1952 American film noir mystery film directed by William Spier and Roy Kellino and starring James Mason and June Havoc. Mason and his wife Pamela produced and wrote the film themselves, based on Pamela's novel Del Palma (originally published as A Lady Possessed in Britain, 1943).

13 ott 2016 · A ctor James Mason was a big star in England before coming to the United States in the early 1950s. One of his first films – though thankfully for him not the first film- that he worked on was 1952’s Lady Possessed, a film he also produced and co-wrote with his wife Pamela.
In a London nursing home, Jean Wilson, a happily-married American woman, while in a state of semi-consciousness, hears Jimmy Del Palma angrily berate the hospital management for the out-dated treatment used on his wife who later dies. When she is well again, Jean rents the former home of Del Palma, a famous concert pianist, and his late wife.
Synopsis. While American Jean Wilson is in a semi-conscious state in a private, London nursing home after the loss of a baby during childbirth, she witnesses singer Jimmy Del Palma remove his wife from the nursing home's care and hears him accuse the director, Dr. Stepanek, of practicing an outdated form of medicine.
