Departures: One of the best TV shows I've ever seen, and I can guarantee that 90% of you have never heard of it (Episode inside) [Travel/Adventure] With Discovery and History decaying ever more into the same generic bullshit as every other channel, I've pretty much stopped watching tv altogether.
Of the ones I've listed, I recommend giving Hannibal and Outlander a shot, and maybe the first five seasons of Supernatural. None of them are really all that similar to Penny Dreadful, though, it's a fairly unique show as far as I'm concerned. I really enjoyed The River but it got cancelled after the first season, to my utter disappointment.
