Our Private World is an American serial. The storyline started on As the World Turns, with Lisa boarding a train to Chicago and the announcer encouraging the audience to watch the spin-off. Upon arriving, Lisa took a job in the admitting room of the local hospital and met her wealthy future husband John Eldredge.
Young Lisa Miller Hughes had been through a failed marriage and she needed something new. She left her ex-husband Bob and son Tom behind and moved to Chicago. Her new life involved many new people whose attitudes and problems affected Lisa's life.
