Downside School (simply referred to as Downside) is an 11–18 mixed, Roman Catholic, independent, day and boarding school in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Somerset, England.
Nestled into the rolling Somerset landscape this beautiful school with the impressive Downside Abbey is a great place to come for anyone seeking a balance between academic, personal and spiritual development. 75% of pupils board, which makes Downside School a proper boarding school.
18 set 2016 · Downside is a proper, full-boarding school with a global outreach, dappled with some divinely traditional touches: the roaring log fire in the dining room, the adorable hobby boxes on the landings of one of the girls' houses and the fact that absolutely everything stops for the Angelus.
