Località della Siria centrale situata a circa 40 km. a N. di Aleppo. La località, che può essere oggi raggiunta in automobile, è nota per la basilica di S. Simeone stilita, giustamente definita "il gioiello archeologico della Siria centrale e una delle più belle opere dell'arte cristiana".
