Kośmin is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Żyrzyn, within Puławy County, Lublin Voivodeship, in eastern Poland. It lies approximately 12 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Żyrzyn, 19 km (12 mi) north of Puławy, and 55 km (34 mi) north-west of the regional capital Lublin.

Koźmin was a private town located in the Pyzdry County in the Kalisz Voivodeship in the Greater Poland Province of the Kingdom of Poland. [6] . The town changed owners several times; it was the property of the Górkas, a prominent Greater Poland family, in the 16th century, and later belonged to the Sapieha family.
