12 giu 2019 · Under universal credit you are exempt from claiming if you have saving above £16,000. As the Lisa has a withdraw penalty of 25% I am confused as to what the limit really is. The universal credit page on DWP suggests that it has to be accessible saving of £16,000 but if I had £16,000 I would actually only have £12,000 of accessible savings.

As a young adult (who hopes to move abroad in the future) I am wondering: 1. Since this is a long-term saving, would I be able to withdraw before I leave; a. Without being charged and b. With the government bonus.

A first-time buyer is someone who does not own, and has never owned, a home anywhere in the UK or the rest of the world. The home you buy must: be in the UK. have a price of £450,000 or less. be the only home you will own. be where you intend to live.
