Benjamin John Whishaw (born 14 October 1980) is an English actor. After winning a British Independent Film Award for his performance in My Brother Tom (2001), he was nominated for an Olivier Award for his portrayal of the title role in a 2004 production of Hamlet.

At age 32, he is the youngest actor to portray Q in a James Bond film. Has a twin brother, James. His paternal grandfather, John Vladimir Stellmacher, was of German and Russian descent, and spied for the British during World War II, later taking the surname "Whishaw".
