Donald William Robertson Boyd (born 11 August 1948) is a Scottish film director, producer, screenwriter and novelist. He was a Governor of the London Film School until 2016 and in 2017 was made an Honorary Professor in the College of Humanities at Exeter University.

Aria is a 1987 British anthology film produced by Don Boyd that consists of ten short films by ten different directors, each showing the director's choice of visual accompaniment to one or more operatic arias.

East of Elephant Rock is a 1977 British independent drama film directed by Don Boyd and starring John Hurt, Jeremy Kemp and Judi Bowker. It was Boyd's second feature film following his little-noticed 1975 Intimate Reflections.
Born in Nairn, Scotland in 1948, Boyd enrolled himself in the London Film School against his parents' wishes. With an enthusiasm and drive some saw as arrogance, he wrote, directed and produced his first feature at the age of 26, jobbing on commercials, documentaries and shorts during the five year production.
