Cristle Collins Judd is an American academic administrator and musicologist serving as the 11th president of Sarah Lawrence College . Early life and education. Judd is originally from Texas, and earned her bachelor's degree in music performance from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.
Judd is a music theorist with special interests in the analysis of early music, music of Renaissance, and the history of music theory. Her research has been supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
