Gregory Daniel Davies (/ ˈ d eɪ v ɪ s / DAY-viss; born 14 May 1968) is a Welsh comedian, actor, presenter, and writer. He is best known for his role as Mr Gilbert in The Inbetweeners, and the Taskmaster in Taskmaster. He also starred as Dan Davies in Man Down and Ken Thompson in Cuckoo.

GREG DAVIES. Award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, actor, and peerless raconteur, Greg Davies first came to prominence playing the psychotic Head of Sixth Form, Mr Gilbert, in the landmark comedy series The Inbetweeners (Channel 4) and as the writer, creator and star of Channel 4’s Man Down.
Greg Davies was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Male Performance in a Comedy Programme. At the British Comedy Awards, Cuckoo was nominated for Best New Comedy Programme and Greg Davies was nominated for Best TV Comedy Actor.
