Marc Shaiman ( / ʃeɪmən /; born October 22, 1959) is an American composer and lyricist for films, television, and theatre, best known for his collaborations with lyricist and director Scott Wittman, actor Billy Crystal, and director Rob Reiner.

Marc has been Oscar nominated seven times (for “Mary Poppins Returns” (2), “Sleepless In Seattle”, “Patch Adams”, “The First Wives Club”, “The American President” and “South Park-Bigger, Longer & Uncut”).
Composer, lyricist, arranger, orchestrator, musical director, producer, actor, and general all-round musician working in films, television, and musical theater, Marc Shaiman has contributed in some capacity to over eighty films and television shows, plus composed four full Broadway musicals.
