Jill Meager is an English actor, artist and painter. [1] Career. Meager studied modern languages at Trinity Hall, Cambridge. She worked for several years as an actor before training as a psychodynamic counsellor. About Jill Meager. Wildlife and wild places are at the core of my art practice. I spent my early years roaming the countryside and coastlines of Scotland and the Western Isles, where the landscapes, the creatures, the light and the colours still inform much of my work. I am best known for my single, larger than life portraits of animals and birds.
