28 lug 2017 · I have recently found that when I try and open a PDF file in an adobe Acrobat reader DC the file opens and then immediately closes thus not allowing me to read print etc. I have tried re installing adobe but the this has failed. Can anybody help me resolve this problem please. I am running windows 7

15 ott 2024 · I cannot check for updates because Adobe Reader is not responding. There is no access to the menu. However, setting to compatibility mode for Windows 7 works though after several tries opening Adobe reader.

19 dic 2023 · Adding this setting to our environment (via a GPO) seemed to have resolved our slowness/freezing issues with Acrobat Pro. Edit>Preferences>Security enhanced>uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup". A few years ago, we applied this setting to Adobe Reader using a group policy setting.
13 gen 2017 · Adobe Reader DC also has an .msp and a .ini file that control some things. Basically, setup.exe calls AcroRead.msi, and then the .msp file updates it to the most current version. The .ini file is what calls out which .msi and .msp setup.exe uses.
30 giu 2022 · Given the total lack of response, this is apparently a problem that nobody else sees, so I have uninstalled Acrobat DC using the standard procedure outlined here: uninstall-reinstall-acrobat.html. I then restarted the computer and reinstalled Acrobat DC from the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

17 set 2024 · This can be done from the App Preferences: Launch Acrobat. Hamburger Icon (New Acrobat) or Edit > Preferences. Generative Ai. Uncheck - "Enable generate AI feature in Acrobat". Click Ok. Re-launch Acrobat. Let us know if you have further questions. ~Tariq.
2 ago 2021 · How can such a simple functionality as Adobe Acrobat reader is, been made so complicated that it gives these kind of problems? I have the same issues, nothing helps, the reader is just so inefficient. The functionality hasn't changed in its essence over decades and it keeps getting worse with every version.
