If you choose this area to live in, you will be close to most of the city's attractions, such as Central Square, and you can also enjoy its canals. In the centre of Groningen, a multi-room apartment is priced from € 1,200 onwards. However, a studio apartment has a higher price, which can be € 3,200 per month.
In this neighbourhood, there are usually many students since it is located between the centre and the area where most of the faculties are. Here, a multi-bedroom apartment costs around € 1,400 per month and a furnished studio can cost around € 600.
Korrewegwijk is a bit further from the centre, but you can connect the two areas in about 10 minutes by public transport or in 25 minutes on foot. It has several restaurants, bars, shops and green areas that you will be able to enjoy. A room in this neighbourhood has an average price of € 450 per month.

22 apr 2024 · Students, both national and international, live in student houses in the city center or around the city center. Starting August 2024, there will be limited housing available at the Zernike Campus with SSHXL .
Here are the most common student housing options for international students in Groningen. SSH Student Housing. SSH is an independent, non-profit student housing provider. Both RuG and Hanze UAS reserve a couple of thousand rooms in SSH student halls under the “SSH Short Stay” programme for new international students.
