Rumpenheim Castle is a Schloss located in the banks of the Main river in the German city of Offenbach am Main . History. The origin of the palace dates back to the manor house of Johann Georg Seifert von Edelsheim, a politician serving the County of Hanau.

Rumpenheim Castle, located in the heart of Hesse, is an outstanding example of Baroque architecture and was built in 1736. This masterpiece was designed by the esteemed architect Maximilian von Welsch and realized under the supervision of the master builder Johann Jakob Stahl.
Schloss Rumpenheim. Schloss Rumpenheim is right next to the river and has lovely grounds. The building itself seems to be divided into apartments and you cannot go inside. You can, however, walk freely all around the building and the grounds, including a small park.

Prince William of Hesse-Kassel (24 December 1787 – 5 September 1867) was the first son of Prince Frederick of Hesse-Kassel and Princess Caroline of Nassau-Usingen. He was titular Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel - (Rumpenheim) and for many years heir presumptive to the throne of Hesse-Kassel .
The Palace Grounds of Rumpenheim are part of the cultural history of Offenbach and mainly built in the eighties of the 18th century.
