7 gen 2017 · I'm using VLC 2.2.4 on Win 10 to play a DVD I bought in a shop. Menu comes up, Episode 1 will play as expected, but no matter what I do, VLC will not play other episodes on this DVD. Even when I go to the menu and choose another episode, the one that plays is always Episode 1. I've tried play the next chapter button, but with same result.
15 gen 2014 · VLC media player just stopped playing DVDs for me. I don't remember if it coincided with installing the latest version or not, unfortunately. I've tried 5 different DVDs and it's been the same for all of them.
I made a DVD which has 1 min introduction at the beginning then following by the main menu. When I used VLC player (0.9.9) to play the DVD, it directly jumped to the main menu without playing the introduction. Then I used Window Medium Player to play the DVD on the same computer, it played from the introduction then the main menu.
3 giu 2014 · (The menu language of the player is already German.) My DVD drive has region code 2. I changed it to region code 1 and back to 2. I bought the DVDs in Germany and the case and the booklets are all printed in German. When I play all season with PowerDVD or Windows Media Player, all the DVD menus are in German then and I don't have that problem.
18 giu 2008 · VLC Player (I have installed the newest 0.8.6h version) can play the DVD's but only by manualy selecting 'open disc' and then open 'DVD', but it can't show the menu's. Is this a bug in the program? Since other DVD player software can show it. The burner makes the following disc structure on a DVD_VR disc VIDEO_RM VIDEO_TS
7 giu 2020 · Today, I wanted to watch "Knives Out" on a totally different PC (notebook) with a 4k display and an external DVD-player and I have this problem AGAIN. The quality is utter --please stay polite--. I popped out the DVD, went downstairs and popped it into the regular family DVD player. Worked fine with really good quality.

But if a angle selection is available you can right click in the screen and choose Chapter, Angle. If there is an angle menu or the feature is available it will appear. Top.
12 ott 2018 · Well, I've got a dedicated DVD player connected to my TV so I would never normally use vlc to playback DVDs on my laptop, but tonight I did in order to determine whether or not the movie would stop playing in the middle of the disc like you say it does on your machine. But it played right through to the end without any problem.
28 apr 2011 · 1) Rip the DVD to hard drive. 2) Select View>Arrange icons by type, delete all .ifo and .bup files, and any small .vob files that are simply introductions or advertisements and such that you don't want or need. Then sort the remaining files into their proper order. Selecting View>Arrange icons by name should do this.
