Fender made a lot of Fiesta Red Strats in the pre-CBS era, so this guitar’s most distinguishing feature is the grain on the neck. The maple has very strong and clear lines that run across the headstock face and along the back of the neck.
The 1962 Fender Stratocaster is pretty much my absolute favorite of the Pre-CBS era. I like the ones from January through June through the most. Why? Because of that fat neck with the nice thick shoulders on it and that beautiful slab Brazilian Rosewood fretboard.
