When downloading exe files, Norton File Insight would previously automatically scan these files and report if they are safe. I have just noticed that this is now not the case. I have tried downloading several exe files, but Norton File Insight isn’t triggered.

Neither have a full Norton scan, a Norton Power Erase (with rootkit) scan, or pre-start scans by Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. 21 ago 2024 · However, when I open the file before Norton reports to have removed some (potential harmful) scripts. While the file by the looks of it appears to be the same, I can’t upload it any longer. The problem is, I don’t know how to stop Norton removing something from these files, obviously required in order to have a functioning upload process.
