I believe her that she hasn’t listened to the albums before. I myself knew a good number of Beatles songs, but growing up, I didn’t listen to them much.

My brother was five years older than me. (To this day, he's still five years older than me.) For Christmas 65, he got the new Beatles album, Rubber Soul.

He was also interviews in the 1990's on a Breakfast With The Beatles show on a local rock station,and he said that John Lennon and Paul McCartney were incredibly talented people and he said it like he still couldn't believe it. And he also said they both were extraordinarily talented song writers and great singers.

  9. In take 1 of A Day in the Life Paul says "aw shit" after messing up I think. "Finger pie" in Penny Lane is some cheeky, subtle profanity from the lads. The "Christ, you know it ain't easy" part of Ballad of John and Yoko was seen as a curse word at the time. Some stations wouldn't play it and others would bleep it.

  10. 10 nov 2023 · It’s probably just a degraded source and they did what they could with it. Too much digitalization, especially with the MAL separation. It’s closer to what one would expect a 60 year old recording to sound like, dulling in comparison to the miracle that is every 1963-1964 track on the Red Album.
