Handsome Dan XVIII is an Olde English Bulldogge aka Victorian Bulldog, a recreation of the Victorian Era Bulldog bred for health and temperament. His football record is 3–1 against Harvard and 24–7 overall through the 2019 season.
3 lug 2019 · In the years since Dan II, 16 more bulldogs have been bestowed the title and role of “Handsome Dan” on the death or retirement of the previous mascot. The university has also used the legacy of Handsome Dan to celebrate important milestones in the campus community.
27 giu 2024 · Handsome Dan XIX, also known as Kingman, serves as the official mascot for Yale University. Born on January 2, 2021, he was picked out of a litter of nine Olde English Bulldogge puppies by Kassandra Haro ’18 on the Yale Visitor Center team.

18 mar 2021 · In dogged pursuit of greater joy for the members of its community, Yale University today announced the arrival in New Haven of the puppy who will assume the title and responsibilities of Handsome Dan XIX, the latest bulldog to serve as Yale’s famed live mascot.
Andy Graves (left), Class of 1892 in Yale's Sheffield Scientific School and a prominent athlete on campus, was the owner of Handsome Dan (below). But it turns out that Dan was Yale's second bulldog.
25 giu 2019 · History of the Yale Bulldog "Handsome Dan" 1889-Present. The tradition was established by a young gentleman from Victorian England, who attended Yale in the 1890's. The line now numbers 19, and the original successors have been the intimates of deans, directors, and coaches.
