Boček IV of Poděbrady (also known as: Boczek IV of Kunstadt and Podebrady; Czech: Boček IV z Poděbrad; 15 July 15, 1442 – 28 September 1496, in Kladsko), was, by title, the last member of the Bohemian noble family of Poděbrady, who were descended from the Lords of Kunštát.
The Bohemian Poděbrady family (Czech: Páni z Poděbrad) was a noble family in Bohemia, arising from the Lords of Kunštát. After Boček of Kunštát (d. 1373) had acquired the Lordship of Poděbrady by marriage, he called himself "Boček of Kunštát and Poděbrady".
8 dic 2022 · Boček býval soudcem zemským v Čechách, napřed místokomorníkem a pak komorníkem (1387). Přidav se r. 1394 k panské jednotě, stál proti králi Václavovi a markr. Prokopovi a r. 1404 až 1408 byl nejv. písařem v Čechách. Po otci držel Poděbrady a Litice v Čechách a Bučovice, Třebovou a Potštát na Moravě.

He inherited his father's Moravian estates jointly with his older brother Boček III of Poděbrady. His youngest brother Hynek inherited Poděbrady Castle and the associated estate. The eldest brother, John, died during his father's lifetime, sometime between 1407 and 1409.

After Emperor Charles IV gave Poděbrady to Boček as a hereditary possession, Boček called himself Boček of Poděbrady, thereby founding the Poděbrady line of the Kunštát family. According to legend, King George of Poděbrady, Boček's grandson, was born in the castle.
