Cyrus Erie. Profile: American band from Cleveland, Ohio, active around 1967-1970. A huge local band at their peak, Cyrus Erie is famous for being Eric Carmen's springboard to regional stardom. Eric was not an original member, though.
Although The Choir had the hit and a string of singles, Cyrus Erie, founded by brothers Michael and Bob McBride, became the better-drawing local act shortly after Eric Carmen joined in 1967. Carmen persuaded Bryson, who had recently left The Choir, to join.
