Geoffrey Howe was a British Conservative politician who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Foreign Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the House of Commons under Margaret Thatcher. He resigned from the government in 1990 over disagreements with Thatcher's policies and leadership style.
