Scultore francese ( Parigi 1838 - ivi 1902). Allievo di J.-B. Carpeaux, esordì nel 1861 con opere di carattere naturalistico quali il Nuotatore (1867) e la Ricamatrice (1870). Avendo aderito alla Comune, riparò in Inghilterra, dove rimase fino al 1879.
