Pehr Evind Svinhufvud. Pehr Evind Svinhufvud af Qvalstad (Sääksmäki, 15 dicembre 1861 – Luumäki, 29 febbraio 1944) è stato un giurista e politico finlandese. Fu Reggente di Finlandia dal 1917 al 1918, capo del governo finlandese dal 1930 al 1931 e presidente della Repubblica finlandese dal 1931 al 1937.

P. E. Svinhufvud oli suomalainen poliitikko, joka oli Suomen tasavallan kolmantena presidenttinä vuosina 1931–1937. Hän oli itsenäisyyden alkumetreillä kansallissankari, joka antoi Suomen itsenäisyysjulistuksen ja vaikutti Mäntsälän kapinan kukistamiseen.

More or less throughout the 1920s Pehr Evind Svinhufvud remained on the margins of political life. He worked as a managing director in a bank, but when he didn’t get ahead, he turned his attention to farming in Luumki. Svinhufvud was however active in the civil guard.
