Dedekind Julius Wilhelm Richard (Braunschweig, Bassa Sassonia, 1831 - 1916) matematico tedesco. Allievo di Gauss a Göttingen e di Dirichlet, fu tra i primi a esporre in lezioni universitarie la teoria di E. Galois. Nella stessa università tenne corsi di probabilità e geometria.
