This standard covers stud bolts with threads produced to toleränce 6g which is customary for bolt/nut assemblies of thread engagement group N as specified in DIN 13-14. Attention is drawn to the fact that stud bolts with lengths exceeding those specified for thread engagement group N might not be true to gauge.

Stud bolts are generally manufactured in the sizes for which a value of mass has been specified. Lengths between 500mm and 1000mm shall be graded in 20mm steps. Bracketed sizes are non-preferred diameters.
