  2. 8 mag 2024 · S&Ds stand for an inclusive European society based on principles of freedom, equality, solidarity, diversity and fairness. We fight for social justice, jobs and growth, consumer rights, sustainable development, financial market reform, human rights, rule of law and a migration policy to create a more democratic Europe.

  3. In the current EU Parliament the S&D is currently composed of 139 members from 25 member states. In the European Council, eight out of 27 heads of state and government belong to PES parties and in the European Commission, 8 out of 27 Commissioners come from PES parties.

  5. 19 ago 2019 · Three out of 14 vice-presidents of the European Parliament are members of the S&D group, as are four out of 20 chairs of the parliamentary committees. The Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) is the second biggest group in the current European Parliament.
