David Mabibolla Taghinejad (born 15 April 1985), known professionally as David Tag, is an English actor. He is known for portraying the role of Sylver McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from June 2018 until January 2022.

I knew a while ago that I was going to leave the show. I found out early last year, but I didn’t know how I was going to go. So, when I read the episodes and saw that it was in a big fire, I was really pleased. Sylver goes out a hero! It’s exactly how I would’ve wanted to go out, so I’m very happy with what they’ve done.
When I initially found out it it was quite secretive, so it was up to me whether I told people or not. I told everyone that was close to me, like all the McQueens. Absolutely! They gave the impression that he was going to leave, but then he has this big massive pang of guilt because he’s a nice guy at heart.
I loved it, to be honest. It’s one of those episodes where they went all out with it. They had the specialised cameras and the special effects, and a lot more time to film the episodes as well, I think we had an extra 10 days to film them. I thin they’ll be quite upset. Sylver is quite a popular character. There isn’t really much to hate about him, and he’s a hero. A good man, and a family man. All that kind of stuff. I think there’ll be quite a few upset people. I hope there is anyway! I hope people are upset and not happy about it! [laughs].
