The United States Naval Academy Museum is a public maritime museum in Annapolis, Maryland, United States. A part of the United States Naval Academy, it is located at Preble Hall within the Academy premises. The museum has an area of 12,000 square feet (1,100 m 2) with four galleries.
21 feb 2023 · History. Origins. In 1845, the Museum began as the Naval School Lyceum, established under the Academy's first chaplain. The Lyceum brought together a collection of historic and natural objects, scientific equipment and models, and works of art for study and discussion.
