Hermann of Wied (German: Hermann von Wied) (14 January 1477 – 15 August 1552) was the Archbishop-Elector of Cologne from 1515 to 1546. In 1521, he supported a punishment for German reformer Martin Luther, but later opened up one of the Holy Roman Empire's most important archbishoprics to the Protestant Reformation. Biography
Hermann von Wied (* 14. Januar 1477 auf Burg Altwied; [1] † 15. August 1552 ebenda) war Erzbischof und Kurfürst von Köln (1515–1547) sowie Fürstbischof von Paderborn (1532–1547). Er versuchte vergeblich, mit der Kölner Reformation das Erzstift dem Protestantismus zuzuführen.
Hermann, Prince of Wied (German: Wilhelm Hermann Karl Fürst zu Wied; 22 May 1814 – 5 March 1864) was a German nobleman, elder son of Johann August Karl, Prince of Wied. He was the father of Queen Elisabeth of Romania and the grandfather of William, Prince of Albania.

Hermann V. Graf von Wied war ab 1515 Erzbischof von Köln und ab 1532 auch Bischof von Paderborn. 1546 wurde er von seinen geistlichen und weltlichen Ämtern entbunden, weil er sich dem katholischen Glauben sichtlich entfremdet hatte.
